Tips for choosing a domain

1.  Keep your domain name as short as possible so it’s easier to remember.
2. Start with the .com domain suffix first. Many people simply type in a company name followed by .com first.
3. Choose a domain that’s as close to your company name as possible.
4. Select a domain that’s easy to remember, pronounce and spell (pretend you’re giving it to someone over the phone).
5. Only use letters, numbers and hyphens in your domain, but don’t start or end with a hyphen. It’s best not to use hyphens at all.
6. Choosing second, third domains with important keywords that you want to be found by can help with Search Engine Optimization.
7. Domains can be between 2 and 63 characters in length.
8. To use .CA you must be a Canadian Citizen and .ORG is only for non commercial use.
